Infernal Devices

Infernal Devices - K.W. Jeter I'm a steampunk fan so I was inclined to like this. On the upside the plot moves quickly and the situations the characters get into are unusual sometimes bordering on the bizzare. Unique is always good. On the downside, the writing is disjointed in places and the protagonist has a habit of getting into trouble he can't get out of and has the comprehension level of a stink bug on more than one occasion. And as pointed out elsewhere, there are an incredible number of typos in this edition.Yet this was a fun read that I found enjoyable but I wouldn't recommend it for people who like to have everything in the story explained or those who dislike a book with characters they can't easily identify with.
