Where books go to get reviewed
Fever Dream - 'Douglas Preston', 'Lincoln Child' I don't have a lot of patience and I get bored easily so it is a tribute to the writing of the authors that I am still reading this series when others that feature a recurring character have fallen by the wayside.Special Agent Pendergast is a low-key guy but within lies a certain charm that endures. He manages to get himself out of impossible situations and if some of them are outre that's part of the appeal. This was one of the best books in the series. It was interesting from the first chapter and although the pace didn't pick up much at the end it was speedy enough throughout. This was a book that was hard to put down. The prose is on the simple side but the plot isn't. Seemingly unrelated events merge together and unlike most of their books we are left with just a few loose ends that don't get tied up. But that's for the next book in the series, eh?If you haven't read a book in this series, you should. Then lucky you, for you will have a lot more Pendergast tales to enjoy.
